Assessment

The team did an awesome job working together, whether it was deciding on a topic, sharing information, or just generally helping each other out.  In the beginning, we went our separate ways, and researched our own ideas.  Later on in the duration of our project, we would discuss the information we had discovered and brainstorm ideas during the meetings.  After some hard work, sharing and good communication, we managed to bring everyone's ideas together.  Once we had focused on a topic, the responsibilities, based on interests and talents, were divided among the group.  Every individual made significant contributions to the success of our project.

We consistently met once a week, and at first, the team would only talk about ISTF during the meetings.  As we became more involved, we'd talk about the project between classes, on the internet, after school, and during lunch.  Communication was very important because, although everyone knew the main ideas, we had to share the details with each other.  When someone found an especially interesting and important piece of information, it would be shared with everyone so that we all stayed on the same wavelength.  The internet was also an important communication too for team members and those outside the group.  Thousands of miles were not a hindrance to our goals.

1)  Get pages done earlier, so that there is enough time for proofreading, additions, and corrections.

2)  Have review checkpoints to make sure every team member is progressing with their given task.

3)  It is invaluable for a team to have an advisor with a vast and diverse knowledge of the project's topic.  We were very fortunate to have such an advisor.
