Algebra 1A / 1B Internet Project
Mainland High School's web-based Algebra 1A & 1B curriculum, nine activity modules aligned with NCTM Standards. Each module has an overview of its objectives and a daily activity calendar.
This activity was developed by a student or students at Mainland High School which is located in Daytona Beach, FL. It is still a "work in progress" with editing and improvements yet to come.

Module 1: Patterns & Expressions
Evaluate algebraic expressions, translate word phrases, use order of operations, and compute central tendency.

Solve ratios, proportions, percent equations, simple interest, and percent of change problems.

Module 3: Equations & Inequalities
Solve one-step and multi-step linear equations and inequalities using inverse operations.

Module 4: Graphing Linear Functions
Graph ordered pairs, analyze relations and functions, determine slope, and plot linear equations.

Module 5: Systems of Equations
Solve systems of linear equations and inequalities graphically and algebraically for business models.

Module 6: Quadratic Functions
Graph quadratic equations, construct parabolas, and find roots of quadratic functions.

Module 7: Exponential Functions
Model exponential growth and decay, examine rules for non-linear functions, and analyze real-world data.

Module 8: Polynomial Operations
Add, subtract, and multiply polynomials, apply exponent rules, and simplify monomial powers.

Simplify square root radicals, approximate roots, and evaluate rational real number expressions.
