For round 2, each contestant was required to find the greatest Common Factor (GCF) for several polynomials, then add the GCF's to form a new polynomial.
This was a timed contest where the winner recieved 40 points and the person in second place received 20 points.

10. Complete Fred's table.

Polynomial

GCF

7 y 3 + 49 y
78y 5 + 64 y 3
6 y 2 + 5 y
6 y 3 + 8

11. What was Fred's new polynomial in standard form?

12. Complete Sarah's table.

Polynomial

GCF

5y + 5
2y 5 + 4 y 3
3 y 4 + 6 y
10 y 2 + 6y

13. What was Sarah's new polynomial in standard form?

14. Complete Chuck's table.

Polynomial

GCF

8y 5 + 9y4
6y 5 + 6
12 y 3 + 6 y2
9 y 3 + 3y

15. What was Chuck's new polynomial in standard form?

16. Complete Jeannie's table.

Polynomial

GCF

6y7 + 3y3
10y3 + 15y2
9y + 18
8y5 + 2y3

17.
What was Jeannie's new polynomial in standard form?

18. At the end of Round2, if Jeannie finished first and Chuck finished second, how many total points does each contestant have?
