   In the Guiness Book of World Records you will find information about the tallest human being in the world. Robert Wadlow of Alton, Illinois holds the record. Born in 1918, he was 6 feet tall by the time he was 8 years old. He stopped growing at age 21 and reached a height of 8 feet 11 inches. He died at the age of 22, weighing 491 pounds. His wrist measured 32 centimeters from the wrist to the tip of his middle finger and his shoes were size 37AA.

Collecting Data

1. Measure and record your hand and those in your group. Record your information on the Data Collection Survey.   How does your hand and your classmates' measurements compare to Robert Waldos?

2. Complete the Survey by finding the arm span, height, wrist and neck measurements.
