Graph the following story. Label the events on the graph.

A. Jan quickly pedaled his bike to reach top speed on the straightaway.

B. Even at the bottom of steep Hillcrest Road, he maintained his speed for a little while.

C. Then his speed dropped as quickly as he had built it up originally.

D. By the time he reached the top of the hill, he was pedaling at only 10% of his top speed.

E. Exhausted, he stopped to rest for a few minutes.

F. He gradually started off again.

G. He pedaled home at half his top speed.

Prepare a graph that portrays the following story.

"I was conceived on August 5, 1962. When I was born I weighed 8 pounds 3 ounces. During my teen years I was very athletic. It was 1979 when I reached my maximum height  of 6 foot 3 inches. Since graduating from college I have had an easy life of sedentary office work, and a very healthy appetite. In 1989 I was encouraged by my doctor to eat sensibly and enter a rigorous exercise program of running and working out."
