As part of Mainland's CCTT grant, the students were given permission by the book's publisher to convert the ancillary materials of the County's adopted Algebra 1 textbook (Glencoe Algebra 1 — ISBN: 9780028253282) into html format.

Writing Expressions
Letters in algebra are called variables because their values can vary. Note that for a product of a number and a variable, the number is written first.
Example: the product of x and 10 is 10x, not x10.
