From: Saul Berger To: 'Cathy Colwell' Subject: RE: still need a quote ... will look for minimum light sensitivity Date: Tuesday, January 19, 1999 1:39 PM Dear Cathy, The emails are not to long. Don't worry about it !! The following quote is estimated on data I already know. The two issues which require more data on are; 1. Sensitivity, it's got to be very high but your getting details on that. 2. View angle horizontial view angle. I wonder how critical it if the Sea turtles walk onto baseball field during a night game. Any way with data logging features and wavelenths specified and taking into account the requirements for a modified viewing angle the prices are as follows: PMA 2100 meter with on board data logging and PC interfacing software and cabling $ 1500 PMA 2180 - 525 - 10. A 525 nm detector with a 10 nm FWHM ( Full Wave half Measure),cost $ 950. PMA 2180- 645 - 10. A 645 nm detector with a 10 nm FWHM cost $950. PMA - 2110 . A UVA detector with a bandwidth of 40 nm in the UVA region with a peak response of 360 nm . Cost $ 550. Prices are valid 90 days. With delivery 2 weeks ARO based on customer agreed specifications. I look forward to any questions that you may have. Your name has now been posted as our lighting technical advisor ... I put my best researcher on the path to finding the answer to your sensitivity question ... I also wrote Blair Witherington directly. Sometimes I can catch him and get a quick answer. I gave him your e-mail address in case he wants to communicate directly with you ... if that occurs, please CC me a copy of all of your emails for my files. Did you view the material before I posted the diagrams? If so, they are now available ... although I don't think that they have the correct information, they might have clues that I am not trained to deduce ... http://167.93.12.35/istf/Berger/turtletimebackground.htm By the end of the day Wednesday we need some sort of quote and specs on our "proposed meter" which carries with it your endorsement that it is a feasible product for manufacture. If it is easier for you, this material can be sent to us by fax (904 226-0332) which we can then scan and place on the site. Propose a new product or process (based on the patent), determine who could manufacture the product, provide details regarding possible customers, suggest a retail price (per unit) and project sales for years 1 - 3. Obtain a review of your proposed product or process from a company that could manufacture the product/process in the US. We can post last minute information Thursday. Thank-you for EVERYTHING! This project has been very intensive ... Cathy
