Responsibility

Students must show official documentation demonstrating responsibility.

Students must complete three of the six activities. 

  1.  Provide a printout from your school’s attendance office that gives an account for your absences and tardies. 

  2. Present a letter of recommendation from a teacher and/or employer verifying whether or not assignments were completed on time. 

  3. List and provide proof of tasks/ jobs you are responsible for such as:

                   *Babysitting

                   *Club/Team/Organization member or leader

                   *Leadership positions at Work

                   *Committee memberships

                   *Volunteering                

  1. Write a two page essay on the importance of being a responsible person.  Include the meaning of responsibility, how it applies in your life, and the advantages/ disadvantages of being a responsible person.

  2.  If you were enrolled in a Child Development course and participated in the “Baby Days” project, provide completed project portfolio: including detailed journal of experiences, baby budget, tests, and teacher evaluation. 

  3. Coordinate a community event, fundraiser or charitable event.

    Example:  car wash, garage sale, bake sale, candy sale, bowl, skate, or walk- a- thon.  Include detailed plans, include the following:  name of event, date of event, itinerary, plan of action, participants, cause, and outcome.
