Directions: Select and complete one activity
1. Select An Individual Project
a. Select an individual research project for science, social studies, student government or for a need of the school.
b. Research and gather information for your project.
c. Display your project on on a poster, large project board or in a notebook.
d. Deliver an oral presentation of your research findings.
e. If possible enter your project into competition. present your findings orally to judges or to designated individuals.
2 Select A Group Project
a. Invite a small group to work with you on a research project.
b. Follow directions for activity 1.
3. Use a word processing program such as MS Word, WordPerfect or a program of choice to type a research project about a historic city or a project of choice. Ex. St. Augustine. If you need help with word processing in MS Word please refer to this website http://tutorials.beginners.co.uk
5. Create A PowerPoint Presentation. Select a project to present to a class. Collect information about your project. Place your key ideas on a power point. Present your project to a group, class or to designated individuals. If you need help with PowerPoint please refer to this website http://www.functionx.com/powerpoint/.
Include in the database:
- Each student names
- Address (street, city, & state, zip code)
- Phone number
- Parents' names
- Visit a job site of choice. Present a oral presentation to a group, class or to designated individuals.
Present one of the above activities such as: PowerPoint or results of your research project in an oral presentation.
