In our background material we are discussing the titannia cells and SMART window from STA. Originally we wanted our product to be an "energy window" but we subsequently discovered that both STA and SolarEx (BP Solar) have those products in place. My group did not feel that they were sophisticated enough to deal with the transparency issues that we were previously discussing to develop a new "energy window" design. For our product we have decided to implement a "PV awning" for individual windows. The top of the awning will have PV cells and will be adjustable for the sun's tilt. http://public.cctt.org/sunlight/components/product.htm We have requested an estimate from a framing company for the structural design. We will also incorporate a ball park estimate on the PV material that will cover its "roof." Hopefully I can get back to you with some specifics and you could give me a rough quote on the PV modules required. I know that an inverter must also be incorporated into the price, I have listed you as a technical consultant, and I will not release your email address. Thank-you for all your help and time. We are fast approaching our February 28th deadline.
