We chose the national critical technology category of renewable energy sources with a technical application of energy efficient building technologies, focusing on building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV). Our product is a PV-integrated awning which collects energy while allowing windows to maintain transparency, and serve as a source of natural, ambient light.
